I have had the good fortune to travel extensively across the world from Europe to Asia and photographed numerous ad campaigns including tourism for the US Virgin Islands, the British Virgin Islands and resorts on St Martin, & Hawaii to mention a few.
Yes, traveling is one of the perks of my profession but make no mistake, it’s also hard work. Resort photography takes weeks of pre-planning, out the door hours before sunrise, shooting long after dark… just to repeat the process again over the next several days. Then you’ve still got weeks of post-production to finish off the images to complete your vision. And yes this is life as usual for me.
On this post I’d like to share 4 photos from my recent shoot for Miromar Lakes, Florida. There were many more photos that were shot in color which I’ll post at a later time.
Guest Relations Marketing approached me to photograph the exquisite resort community of Miromar Lakes. Our goal was to capture the exclusive French and Italian Rivera styles used throughout the resort’s beaches, boardwalks and architecture in a way that highlights its elite clientele. It was important that we feature the resort with a warm and romantic aura, inspiring the viewer to envision living the elegant life they dream.
We felt that shooting in black & white would enhance the old world look and feel of the celebrity rich Rivera. And besides, I love black & white.
What a great resort, who wouldn’t want to live here?
